Terry O’Neill is president of the National Organization for Women www.now.org. On February 22 she said, “The Republican House leadership has turned to its ultra-conservative, anti-woman playbook yet again to block passage of an inclusive, bipartisan version of the Violence Against Women Act.” O’Neill urged people to call their members of Congress and ask them to vote for the Act, and oppose efforts to weaken it.

Talkin and her colleagues at UMass Amherst are organizing a series of public, educational events in the week leading up to the rally. More information is available by contacting her at ztalkin@student.umass.edu or by phone at (617) 875-7666.
