In Brattleboro and Northampton about 45 people attended abortion rights rallies. The Brattleboro rally was on December 1. About 10 people were there, organizer Tracy Donahue told the Valley Post. “It was cold but we were happy we gathered together because we were all angry about the U.S. supreme court deliberations,” she said.

About 35 people were at the November 27 Northampton rally, organizer Marisol Pierce Bonifaz told the Valley Post. “As youth, it's our generation and future generations that will be affected by precedent set forth by the supreme court. We must protect our bodies,” she said.

Dr. Marty Nathan died on November 29. She was 70. She died of cancer. Dr. Nathan was on the board of the Springfield Climate Justice Coalition. The Valley Post interviewed her many times. Dr. Nathan's daughter said, to honor her mother, people should “do something to make the change you want to see in the world.”

Thanks in large part to activists like Dr. Marty Nathan, the Vermont Yankee nuclear power plant near Brattleboro was closed, and Stop and Shop workers in Springfield, Massachusetts won a major strike.
