In the Valley in the past few weeks, thousands more people marched than earlier reported. They were protesting racist white police officers who kill unarmed African Americans. On June 5, the Valley Post reported that “at least 5,000 people” had marched in the Valley. That estimate did not include 3,000 or so people who marched in Springfield on June 3.
