Women's March Moves to Springfield

The annual Northampton Women's March, which attracts thousands of people every year, is moving to Springfield. “It will be on January 18,” Rachel Maiore told the Valley Post on November 19. She's the main organizer. “What a gift it’s been to develop relationships with community leaders in the Springfield area.”

Details are at www.PioneerValleyWomensMarch.org.

The below photos were taken in January 2019. They show the Northampton Women's March. On November 21, 2019 in Charlemont, Massachusetts there was a rally to save trees. Charlemont borders Shelburne, which borders Greenfield. “We held signs outside the meeting, then we went inside and held signs,” Gia Neswald told the Valley Post in a phone interview hours after the protest. “There were about a dozen protesters.” The meeting was to make Trump's logging agency work more closely with the state logging agency. The protest organizers have a web page at:

Proforestation to save our trees

We should all be worried. Look into what the U.S. Forest Service has done in other regions of our country and consider what that level of forest management would mean in a state forest near you.

thanks

thanks for posting about the horrible agreement between our own state environmental agency with the current Federal Forest Service that is logging and mining our national owned forests. we will need masses to protest this assault to our state forests.
